Potato Soup

Description:I made this for my husband and he loves it. It is quick and easy, servings for 4. Ingredients: 1 medium carrot (diced) 6 small onions (diced) 3 large cloves garlic (diced) 1L Heiz chicken broth 6 large potatoes (cubed) 4 slices of picnic ham (diced) 4 slices bacon (pan fried & diced) 3 tablespoons butter Directions: 1. Melt the butter in a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. 2. Add diced carrot, onion & garlic, cook until soft 3. Add in Chicken broth into pot bring to boil. 4. Add cubed potatoes. 5. While waiting for potatoes to turn soft, pan fried bacon until crispy and diced it. 6. Add diced bacon to broth. 7. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes. 8. Add 2/3 packet milk heat through. 9. Ready to serve 10. Soup will thicken when it gets cold, add milk to thin out.

Chinese Garden - Mooncake or Lantern Festival

15th day of the eighth lunar moon is known as Moon Cake Festival, Lantern Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival in Singapore. On the Mid Autumn day, Chinese families gather to admire the moon believed to be the most beautiful and the roundest on this night. It symbolizes the union of the family and Chinese families celebrate this event by eating moon cakes (月饼) and admiring the moon. Other food items associated with Mid Autumn are pomelo and Chinese Tea. After dinner, Children carry lanterns and strolling in parks or gardens. That is why people alway say "月到中秋分外明,每逢佳节倍思亲!" On the same day Korea will celebrating their Chu'sok or Korean Thanksgiving Day and our company granted us a half day off on 15th Sep! So husband also took a half day leave take me to The Central "Marutama Ra-Men" for lunch. After our lunch, we go to GV Tampines for movie " Babylon A.D. ". Arggg!!!!!!! Yesterday night, is the fourth times my son fell down!!!!!!!!! 1st was from his high chair 2nd, 3rd & 4th time was from bed……… I am feeling lousy …….. such a simple task I also ‘fail’ to do it. His face hit the floor so he has a bruise ……..

Hao Dong Development milestone

Time flies, Hao Dong already one year old. I can remember him being born like it was yesterday!
