20 cents issue!!

Re : 20 cents was taken from my Credit Card!!!!!!!!! I think more or less I can confirm that the one of the staff from the fashion retailer has taken my credit card. Why do I say that? First, I visited the shop only on 12th Oct made one purchase with that merchant of S$35.00. Yet my credit card statement reflected two lines of transactions as follows: 12th Oct CXXXXXXX Singapore S$35.00 14th Oct CXXXXXXX Singapore S$ 0.20 14th Oct, I called my card centre and reported loss card. I only aware of this 20 cents transaction on 20th Oct upon receiving of my credit card statement. Before I made this statement, I actually thought of : Scenario A I may have forgotten to take back my credit card after I paid for my original purchase dated on 12 Oct of S$35/-. Two days later, the staff there who held my card was trying to test whether my credit card is still valid or not, and they just try to deduct a 20 cents from my card. (This is the only reason I can explain why my Credit Card sta

Hao Dong Finally Did it!

27th Dec 2008 is Deepavali. 27th Dec 2008 baby Hao Dong is 13 months 23 days old. 27th Dec 2008 baby Hao Dong recorded a development milestone that I will never forget – - taking his first step. Before baby Hao Dong started to walk, MIL always told me that, XXX baby staying at 3rd floor which a few weeks younger the Dong Dong already able to walk steadily. She also added some commends such as I have to let baby eat a little bit salt and this will help baby to start to walk. @.@ Waiting for my baby to start to walk already an anxious time for first time parents like me, by comparing others children able to walk at an earlier age would be an added stress to me. In fact, there is little a parent can do, to get their children walking except to provide plenty of active play time to encourage the healthy development of the muscle tone and coordination. Last but not least do not forget to praise baby for their progress. Babies are social beings and enjoy positive interaction with t

20 cents was taken from my Credit Card!!!!!!!!!

Image
I had visited a shop located at Anchorpoint on 12th Oct and made a purchase amounted to S$35/- the payment was made by Visa Card. On the 14th Oct, when I wanted to use the same card for one of the online transaction, I am not able to locate my Credit Card. I was so worried and I called the Card Centre and informed the officer I had misplaced my card and requested them to stop the said card. What astonished me is, on 20th Oct, when I received my Visa Card statement there is a 20 cents transaction dated 14th Oct, on top of my original purchase done on 12th Oct was initiated from the SAME MERCHANT !!! In short, they debited once on 12th Oct for my original purchase of S$35.00, and then two days later (14th Oct), they debited another 20 cents from my Credit Card account. Fine! It could be the 20 cents was initiated before I stop my card, but how can the merchant suka suka just Debit 20 cents from my Credit Card without my signature? Or ‘maybe’ without my card? So where is my card now

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like thi

Disney Naturally

Image
Naturally, it's a Disney experience!! When to Queenway shopping center to meet my brother on yesterday, after browsing around all the little shops, we walked across to Anchorpoint and we found this cute restaurant “Disney Naturally”. The chairs are all of mickey design! On the left is a Pizza, Mickey-shaped pizza - Pete's Pan (i think in order to match the name, should come in Peterpan's shape hor...). On the top right is Minestrone Soup served with Mickeymouse bun. On the bottom right is Beef Sandwich. The eatery aims to bank on the popular Disney brand to teach kids the fun of healthy eating in a family orientated environment.

Visiting Istana on Hari Raya Puasa - 1st Oct 2008

Image
The Istana is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore. It occupies over 40 hectares of land along the bustling Orchard Road. The Istana building was built by the British Colonial government to house its governors. Completed in 1869, it was then known as the Government House. The building was handed over to the Singapore Government when Singapore attained internal self government in 1959, and renamed Istana (“Palace” in Malay). The Istana building underwent extensive renovation between 1996 and 1998, to add more space and modern day conveniences. The building today has six function rooms used for ceremonies and to receive guests. The Istana grounds are open to the public annually in celebration of the following occasions: Chinese New Year Deepavali Hari Raya Puasa Labour Day National Day Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. Others visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person.
