Image

빼빼로 day

Yesterday, 11th November was 빼빼로 day.. and we are having our department lunch at Gaia, Suntec Korean Pan Cake - Pajeon Pajeon is a traditional Korean-style pancake which is a very popular appetizer or snack.  It is made with flour batter, eggs, and green onions/scallions, served with a mixture of soy sauce & vinegar for dipping.  Korean Spicy Soft Tofu Stew - Soon Doo Boo Chigae Soondooboo chigae is usually made with some added pieces of pork, several small clams, chopped garlic, and red chili pepper flakes (kochukaru) along with chopped leeks and sesame oil. Korean Spicy Stirred Fried Chicken - Dak-galbi Dak-galbi is a spicy stirred-fried chicken dish that is quite appetizing with intense flavors. The chicken pieces are soft and juicy and needless to say, spicy as well. The cabbage is slightly crunchy to the bite, yet sweet, well-balancing out the spicy chicken. Korean Vermicelli Noodles - Jap Chae Jap Chae is a stir-fried dish that combines sweet vermicel...

La Petit Cuisine & island creamery ice cream

Image
It was my sister in law’s birthday, she suggested going to La Petit Cuisine for dinner on yesterday. It is a humble and simple place, indoor and outdoor seats are available, because we have two kids with us, and we chose to get the indoor seats, although the outdoor seat gave off a more romantic feeling, but I am just worried of the mosquitoes. Their tables just covered with plastic (disposable) tablecloth, simple laminated menu, I felt that we are having dinner in a ‘high class’ coffee shop ….. Need to proceed to counter to order your food, and no GST. We ordered onion soup, mushroom soup Lamb chop, The Ravioli of Prawns Foie Gras in Light Lemon Crème, Confit de Canard with Gratin, Filet of Salmon. Just immediately our order placement, we was served with warm crusty bread roll with butter. My order, Filet of Salmon with rice, the fish was fresh and cooked just nice, not too dry, yammy ~~ Their Confit de Canard with Gratin (crispy duck leg confit with potatoes) is definitely ...
