~ ♡ Tampopo Restaurant at Liang Court ♡ ~

Last Sunday, our original plan was going down to “The Studio” for family photo taking, but when we went down to their shop, we found out that the package was way beyond our budget, and so we left the place and going for dinner.

At first we was thinking to go down to “Bon Gout” located at Robertson Quay to have their sticky Japanese ‘Triangle rice”, so we park our car near The Quayside. Since it is too early for dinner and we were walking around and we ended up at Liang Court, so we settled our dinner at Tampopo.
Our first experience with Tampopo Restaurant was after we read from the newspaper, where their “Big Pig Shabu Ramen” has been nominated in Singapore for one of the top 10 Ramen. (It was quite sometime ago, maybe in year 2004?..) , last time they were located at Basement 1 and now they had shifted to the ground floor.
Their “Big Pig Shabu Ramen” is using the premium grade black pig self-imported by Tampopo, cook with Kyushu noodles served in a pure pork bone stock soup that takes 2 days to boil. Chili flakes are added for an appetizing punch.

But this time around, we thought to have change and NOT to order their “Big Pig Shabu Ramen”, instead we ordered the following items: ……..

  • Black Pork Mini Shabu Shabu Set

  • Katsu Don

  • Dried shrimp Fried Rice for our Indo maid

  • Sweet Japanese curry rice kids’ meal for my son

  • Chawanmushi for my son

Overall, Black Pork Mini Shabu Shabu Set and Katsu Don, not really impress us. My husband still prefers the Shabu Shabu we had at The Central (but we cannot recall the restaurant name) for Katsu Don, I would prefer Tonkichi at Suntec.
However, we will definitely going back for their “Big Pig Shabu Ramen” sometime later ^^
